RATES: $50 per half hour and $100 per hour
PAYMENT POLICY: Payment for lessons is due at the first lesson of each month. There are no refunds. Lessons cancelled by phone must be done a minimum of 24hrs in advance, cancellations using this site require 48 hours notice. I will do all I can to reschedule lessons cancelled with sufficient notice. If the lesson can’t be rescheduled by the end of the month (because our schedules aren’t compatible), the fee is forfeit.
The farther in advance you cancel a lesson, the better the chance of rescheduling. Lessons cancelled without 24 hrs’ notice by phone or 48 hours by internet will not be rescheduled. Students who regularly cancel lessons will be moved off of the weekly calendar and put on the cancellation waiting list. If I should be unable to teach for any reason, the cost of that lesson will be deducted from the next month’s lesson fees. I request one month’s notice if a student plans to discontinue lessons.
LATE ARRIVALS: Lesson time lost due to late arrival is not made up.
MUSIC POLICY: Students will need to bring music to work on during lessons. Students may work on any style of music that interests them. I am happy to make suggestions for appropriate repertoire. Books loaned to students must be returned at the next lesson. While it is easiest to work from printed music, students are welcome to sing along with music/karaoke cds or guitar accompaniment.
LESSON POLICY: You will get the most out of your lesson time if you will bring:
A blank CD-R
A pencil
2 copies of the song you are working on (so you can mark the music and don’t have to look over my shoulder to read it).
Of course, practice makes perfect! I know that music lessons are a big investment. You will progress the fastest if you will practice your vocal exercises daily.
